Mr. Han is a registered patent attorney with expertise in chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, biological engineering, pharmaceuticals and nanotechnology.
Since Mr. Han founded OnYou Intellectual Property Law Firm, he has been working for OnYou as the managing attorney responsible for preparing and prosecuting patent applications embracing various chemicals, pharmaceuticals, biomarker, medicine, novel material, and medical device. He also prepared opinions regarding possible infringements as well as validity of patents.
His primary responsibilities include preparation and prosecution of patent applications, representing international chemical company, such as BASF, MERCK, SUMITOMO, MITSUBISHI or P&G, major national business companies, such as Samsung engineering, Kolon industries, or Graphene square, Korean university, such as Seoul National University, KAIST, Sungkyunkwan University or Ewha woman’s university.
Mr. Han received his B.E. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Seoul National University and was admitted to the Korean Patent Bar in 2007. Before joining the firm, Mr. Han was employed in Koreana Patent Firm of Korea as a patent attorney, where he practiced in various aspects of IP matters, representing a number of national/international chemical and medical corporate clients.
Mr. Han has considerable foreign patent experience, having obtained patents in U.S., Japan, Europe, and China. He has also experienced handling international PCT applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty and national filing of foreign patents.
